As you will know if you read my blog previously, I had decided before to stop blogging. BUT I missed you guys all so much I decided to come back
So I think it’s time for me to fill you in on everything that’s happened!
I started blogging on the 7th September, just as a way to express my views on fashion and other things teenage girls are concerned with. I’m not really obsessed with fashion/ beauty or anything in that field like many other bloggers are, not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing? Well, it’s kind of different anyway, I’m not really like the rest. I have never wanted to go into journalism/media, I actually want to be a doctor, but this seemed like a fun thing to do. So, if you were looking for a blogger with a mind full of fashion and products and media, then I’m afraid this is not the blog for you. But if you are looking for a blog with a little bit of everything, then hi!
ANYWAY! On a lighter note, I wanted to tell you have things have been since I left in pictures ( and a few words
)
It was my birthday on the 23rd February
If any of you are wondering, I’m 14 years old
Went on holiday! Well, more of a road trip, I think I went to about 8 countries! I mainly stayed in Switzerland though.
Got into baking. Do you like it?
I’ve also got into photography. I now have 141 followers on Instagram (see a previous post). Follow me at itisabeautifullife I’ll follow back If you say you’re from here! ♥
I got braces! (Don’t laugh).
I’m sure plenty of other things have happpened over these 3 months, but I wouldn’t want to ramble on. What’s happened to you over the last three months? Anything interesting?
Love Lara ♥ xox
So guys, you know how I left?
WELL. I logged back on just once (okay, more than once) to my blog account, just to make sure that nothing had gone pear shaped. Before I didn’t have the heart to delete this blog, and now I’m glad I didnt! When I logged in I saw that 225 COMMENTS HAD BEEN POSTED! OH EM GEE! Some of them were talking complete rubbish, but most of you had said how much you loved my blog, and I was touched *tear*. So, after reading all of these wonderful comments, I was compelled to start up again.Isn’t that FABULOUS?
I’m going to be giving my blog a little makeover, and will be changing the genre a little bit. Instead of just a fashion and beauty blog, I’m going to have an agony aunt section, a cooking section, a Photography section etc. Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted! I’m also thinking of doing some youtube videos, my account is teentrendblog.
Don’t give up on me yet guys!
Love Lara ♥ xox
Dear Readers,
I know I do not usually start with such a formal greeting on most of my posts, but this is quite serious stuff. As you may be aware, I have not written any posts in a month now, but I can explain. It is not due to the amount of school work I have or that I have been busy, I just don’t really feel very passionate about this blog anymore. All the other bloggers all love beauty or fashion or journalism, and hope to pursue that line of work in their careers in the future, but not me. I believe that although this would look good on a university application, I do not want to study english literature or journalism, I would idealy like to study medicine, and eventually go on to become a psychiatrist. I was hoping to create another blog, but minus the fashion posts and long rambles, a sort of agony aunt thing? For teenagers – again, but maybe younger childrens problems as well, I’m not to sure. The whole thing is not certain yet, but if I do decide to establish another blog, I will write to you again to let you know.
Thank you all of my lovely readers and people who comment and follow me on twitter, you have made this short time very enjoyable for me. I hope if I get the new blog you will support me then as well!

So I’m guessing that most of you with and iPhone/ Ipod Touch 4 have heard about the photography app named Instagram? Well if you haven’t, Instagram is an app that enabled you to take photos, edit them and then upload them to your account. People can then follow you, like and comment on these pictures, and there is a popular page showing all the most popular pictures at that moment. I just thought that I would share with you some of my photos, I hope you like them!
If you would like to follow me then just search itisabeautifullife – Thank you!
So, go start the trend before your friend! ♥ xo
We knew it was coming but it’s still hard to hear it, and now it’s official. Katy Perry and Russell Brand are getting divorced. Things have been on the rocks lately, with them celebrating Christmas 7000 miles apart – Russell in Cornwall and Katy in Hawaii after a huge row. They have both also been spotted without their wedding rings on.
The couple got married in October last year, meaning that their marriage ended only 14 months after it began. At the beginning of the month Russell brand had said ‘I am really happily married… I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge.’ They have also both said that they would like children, With Katy saying ‘If it doesn’t hurt the first time I’ll keep popping them out.’
Now however, the couple have split due to ‘irreconcilable differences.’ Brand has also released a statement saying ‘Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.’
It’s sad to see yet another celebrity couple split, there seem to be so many these days. It makes me wonder whether it is the pressure of the press and paparazzi, or if these to people just weren’t meant to be. Well, at least there weren’t any kids involved, but I do hope that their divorce runs smoothly and doesn’t get messy, I hope it won’t turn out to be a huge unhappy ending!
*I do not own this photo*
Don’t be too much of a gossip, just remember where you heard it first! ♥ xo
I haven’t been preparing for Christmas for that long, I put my tree up a week ago and still haven’t brought all of my christmas presents, but I’m slowly putting the pieces together, and the picture is gradually forming. I’ve bought a bit more stuff, including my christmas dress and some accessories, and snapped a few festive images. I’ve already eaten my fair share of mince pies and chocolate log, but if you can’t eat at Christmas, then when can you eat? So today I’ve dedicated a festive nail post towards Christmas.
I used my L.A. COLOURS nail polish in Solar and Boujois So Laque nail polish in Fushia Hype. Although in the bottle, the Boujois varnish looks pink, when it contrasts with the gold it looks more red. I used a base coat and top coat, and drew the black ribbon on with a sharpie marker, simply because I don’t have a black striper, and even if I did I probably wouldnt be able to pull that off on my right hand.
So, go start the trend before your friend! ♥
This weekend I have been out shopping and spent a lot of money on christmas presents for myself. Don’t judge me. Here’s what I got.
Top – Hollister – £20.
Actually I bought this top a few weeks ago, but I decided to put it in this post anyway. They didn’t have the burgandy one that I wanted in stock, so I went for this one instead. Turns out my friend has the same one in red. Oops. Oh well, it’s a lovely fit and a nice design, so I’l just have to make sure we don’t wear it on the same day. Buy it here.
Necklace & Ring – Camden – £10 & £4
I got these adorable accessories on a stall in the stables at Camden on Sunday as an early christmas present from my auntie. I have wanted a scrabble ever since I laid eyes on one, as they are so cute and quirky! I’ve actually broken my by standing on it (whoops) so I need to fix, it, but its nothing that some superglue won’t fix.
As for the necklace, well I love Alice in Wonderland, so when I saw this I simply couldn’t resist! The “Drink Me” label on the bottle is too cute, and the key is wonderful as well! I am not allowed to wear it until christmas day, though it is very tempting! It’s one of the cutest Christmas presents I’ve recieved!
Cameo Ring – Camden – £3
Cameo’s and rings are my biggest weakness, so when I found this I had a hard time not buying it. But I gave in, it’s just too beautiful! It matches my new cardigan (later) and looks great. I love it!
King of Hearts Necklace Watch – Camden – £3 / £5
Words cannot describe how much I love my new necklace, it’s actually my favourite item. I got it reduced from £5 to £3 because you couldn’t adjust the time, but that didn’t bother me. However, I was fiddling with it on the train and discovered that you actually could change the time, so really I got a bargain for nothing : ) It’s a bit long, but apart from that I am absolutely thrilled with it. The day I got it I couldn’t stop staring at it and saying (very obnoxiously) “I like my necklace, do you like my necklace?”, much to my friends annoyance. I think they’re just a bit jelous ; )
Skirt – Camden – £5
Bargain! I love this lacey skirt, it was so cheap and makes my legs look really brown. It’s a bit more of a summer skirt, but with tights and a blouse it could work in winter. It goes very well with my black heeled boots, and I can’t wait to wear it out!
Blouse – H&M – £5
Another bargain! I picked up this lovely shirt in the sale in H&M Oxford street, although sadly they only had a size 12 in stock, but I brought it anyway. It actually looks quite good baggy, and tucked into a skirt it hangs nicely. The colour is also one of my new favourites, champagney pinky, it’s gorgeous! Unfortunately I can’t find it on the website, and a very similar one is sold out in every size, so if you want one you will probably have to brave the high street and all the crazy last minute shoppers (coughmecough).
Fur Coat – H&M – £39.99
I didn’t actually buy this, my cousins gave it to me because apparently it doesn’t suit their skin tone. I felt kind of bad looking up the price (Never look a gift horse in the mouth) but I did anyway. The colour of the coat is almost the exact same colour as my hair, and it’s reallyyyyy warm, so I don’t mind wearing it. It is a great fit and the right length, and I’m really happy with it. I definately would have brought it if it wasn’t given to me. You can buy it here for just £19.99 in the sale.
Pink Cardigan – Primark – £12
Trust me when I say that this cardigan looks much better on. I only absent mindedly picked it up when I was browsing through Primark, but ended up buying it by the time I was at the till. The coulour is lovely, and the buttons are really sweet. And at only £12 it’s great for Christmas and all year round.
Burgundy Cardigan – Primark – £12
I LOVE this cardigan, it’s one of my favourite items that I have bought. The style, the buttons and the colour all make it a really worthwhile buy, although it is a bit itchy to start off with. Burgundy is one of my new favourite colours, and this cardie is definately my new favourite!
Burgundy Leggings – Primark – £3
Lovelovelove these leggings! I have been looking for a pair of burgundy/ berry (whatever floats your boat) skinny jeans, but haven’t had much joy for any under £30, but these have satisfied my needs for now, and they’re a bargain! I told you I loved this colour!
MUA Eye Shadow Shade 9 – Superdrug – £1
Ooh bargain! This colour is amazing, the pigmentaion is excellent, almost holographic even. However, it doesn’t last very long, so I would advise using a primer to make it last longer. Oh well, for £1 you can’t complain! Buy it here.
If you’re a genius (joke) then you will have worked out that I have spent £74 on myself. Don’t worry, I bought gifts for other people too.
Sorry I haven’t written in a while, I hope this makes up for it! I will try and post more over the holidays, and tell you guys what I got!
But for now I’ll have to love you and leave you ♥ xo
